How to Have Discernment

Discernment comes from the root word discern, which means to gauge, you might say, or to pay attention to whether something is beneficial for you or not beneficial for you. There's all kind of broad. So when you hear about someone who's in trouble and you wanna pray for them, well discern whether it's a good thing for you to be the one praying for them or not.
