Courage to Move Forward
📍 I am guided to give you this exercise that will help you when you feel afraid to take the next step forward. Now, maybe you've asked for some guidance and you have some guidance, and yet you're so afraid to move forward on that guidance. This is a very normal human reaction. And especially when you're being guided into a new direction.
Even if you're an old experienced spiritual seeker and you've been down many roads, sometimes Spirit calls us to something that's maybe way out of our comfort zone, and we might feel a little scared. However, we feel this burning inside our soul to do the thing. So here's a way to combine spirituality and the best energy shifting technique I know, which is EFT.
So how would you do this? First of all, take a rating. How afraid or hesitant do you feel to move forward in this direction? You're being called. Scale of one to 10, 10 is, oh my goodness, I'm terrified even though my soul is longing and less than five. You're just a little bit concerned. Here we go.
Let's tap on the side of our hand and repeat after me, even though I feel afraid to move in the new direction. Repeat after me. I love and accept myself. Woo. See, it just makes you feel good to admit it right top of the head. I feel afraid. Beginning of the eyebrow. I don't know what's gonna happen side of the eye.
I feel afraid. Underneath the eye. I don't know what will happen underneath the nose. It's normal to be afraid underneath the lip. I am afraid collarbone, I'm afraid. See, just doing this makes you feel less afraid. Underneath the armpit, I am afraid. Take a deep breath in and out and check your rating. It should have gone down some. If not, rewind this and do it again. Now let's move to the 📍 positive choice, even though I'm afraid I choose to take a baby step forward.
In the direction my heart is calling me. Repeat that. I choose to take a baby step forward in the direction my heart is calling me. Top of the head. Choose to move forward, beginning of the eyebrow. Choose to move forward side of the eye. I am moving forward underneath the eye, releasing fear. Ah, just hold that a minute and take a deep breath in and out and see yourself just releasing fear and then under the nose releasing fear.
Under the lip releasing fear collarbone, releasing fear underneath the armpit, releasing fear. Now let's take it up a notch. Just think about getting excited about moving forward. Okay. Side of the hand. I'm excited.
Top of the head moving forward, beginning of the eyebrow. I'm excited side of the eye moving forward
underneath the eye. I'm excited.
See, you are getting excited, right? Underneath the nose, moving forward
underneath the lip. So excited collar bone moving forward, and then underneath the armpit. I'm excited. There you go. Now take a deep breath in and out and check in with your intensity rating now.
This is a brilliant exercise, by the way. It would be very wonderful of you. You have my permission to share this exercise with someone you know who's sitting on the fence about something and they're worried about moving forward.
Works whether you’re giving or receiving a session.
